Hero Dog Awards Voting Is On!

The American Humane Association’s Hero Dog finalists are out for voting.

The top 8 hero dogs have been announced. Last year pit bull Hudson made it to the finals as top therapy dog. Hudson’s story is an inspiring hero dog story about overcoming tragedy and abuse and giving back love. In 2012 at three weeks old, Hudson was found nailed to railroad tracks in Albany, NY. Hudson’s paw was injured beyond recovery. He survived and was one of the first dogs in New York state to be fitted with a prosthetic paw. Hudson now goes to schools, hospitals, adult day care facilities and hospices making a difference with his love and affection, one person at a time.  Check out the hero dogs for 2016 and vote until 12pm Pacific Time on August 24 for the 2016 American Hero Dog. The grand prize winner will be announced at an awards gala in September.
